Michael has been in public practice for over 30 years and focuses on U.S. and International cross-border tax compliance, planning and preparation. He achieved his CGA designation in 1984, Certified Financial Planner designation in 2000 and was honoured by being awarded the Fellow (FCPA & FCGA) distinction for his achievements and contributions in his career and the community and exceptional service to the accounting profession in 2019.
Michael retired from Davis Martindale in December 2020 having joined as a partner in 1999 after many successful years running his own independent practice. He specialized in a wide spectrum of client business, tax and accounting services. He is an expert in financial tax and planning support for owner-managed businesses, personal and corporate tax planning and preparation, and cross-border tax compliance.
He currently holds a position on the DFK International Tax Committee where he represents Canada in discussions on emerging international tax issues.

Michael is an active community member; he was a founding member of the non-profit 100 Men Who Care, Past Chairperson of the Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre, Past President of the London Sports Council and Director of Finance for the 2018 Ontario Summer Games hosted in London.
He is active on the Board of Directors for St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation in London, Ontario and is Vice Chair of the Operations Committee.
