Michael Koenig Retires from Davis Martindale
After over 30 years in public practice and 20 years with Davis Martindale, Michael Koenig retired from Davis Martindale in December.
Over the past decade, Michael has focussed on developing a thought-leading, continually growing and agile cross-border tax practice and has played an integral role in succession planning for the team.
We are pleased to announce that partner Justin Hoffman has assumed leadership of the Cross-Border Tax Services team. Justin joined Davis Martindale in 2012 and is a specialist in cross-border Canada-U.S. tax and estate planning. Justin holds a dual Canadian and US CPA designation as well as a TEP and CFP certification and has significant education in U.S. and Canadian tax including the in-depth tax course, the international in-depth tax course and is in the process of completing a Masters degree in U.S. taxation. He was awarded a Top 20 Under 40 Award in 2019 and was named one of the top 5 worldwide young practitioners in the 2016 STEP Awards. Justin is known in our office for his deep technical knowledge and is known by our client base as the go to person for help with navigating complex cross-border tax issues.
